Pursuant to the adjournment taken frcm its regular meeting of October 2, 1946,
the City Council of the City of Lodi met at 8:C0 o'clock P.M. of Vednesday, Cctober
9, 1946, Councilmen. Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver and Rinn present, none absent.
Also attending, City Attorney lest, City Sngineer Henning and Utilities Sup-
erirten»ent Killeiea.
The minutes of the last meeting held Cctober 2, 1946 were read, approved as
read and so endorsed by the Kayor.
No persons appearing to be heard, the Order of Public Hearings -was passed.
COIXUNIC:TIONS -
Claude C. Mood, to whom the contract for certain street work was

Ceres on the ever_ina of Cctober 17th was received and read. The
Clerk was instructed to e.scertain how many from Lodi :could be
able to attend and report to the City Clerk at Ceres.
The City Planning Cc=d ssicn, by letter, reported favorably in
the following matters submitted to or originating in that Comm-
ission:

Cnotion of Courci]man Riggs, Haskell second, all the above
applications were set for hearing beginning at 8:00 P.M. of
October 30, 1946 and the Clerk directed to publish the necessary
notice of such hearing.
The City Planning Cc:rission also approved the application of

to allow the construction and operation of a cormercial garage

comfort and convenience of neighbors nor injurious to property or

In that no subdivided Droperty was involved, the City Planning

for annexation of 3.383 acres in the S';;y of Section 7, T3N, R7:.

campaign to raise funds now in progress and the same was adopted
by unanimous vote.
On his request, the City Clerk was granted more time in which to
pr-epare a tentative draft of an ordinance relating to automobile
parking embodying the recon4uendations of the Lodi Retail Merchants
Bureau

City Attorney Glenn lest presented and read a proposed form of
