This adjourned rec-ular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lcd-- was held beginning at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of Jednesday, June 12, 1946, Councilmen Haskell, Lytle, Rigzs, To -liver and Finn (Mayor) present, none absent. Also in attendance, Venn :rest, City attorney and Clinton Henning, City ngireer. 3iinutes of the last meeting, from which this was adjourned, held June 5th were read and arproved without correction. ..C-2.i�ZvZC:.TICTiS - Lodi Uemorial hospital association filed a calendar of events to STdDILM be held in Lodi Stadium through to October 12th. A proval with- C:LL:L'hTJnP, held until next meeting in order to allow interested veteran's organizations to file statements as to allocation of proceeds and to definitely ascertain that all were in agreement. ORDINANCE NO 326, entitled, AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE VACYTION OF .i PORTION OF ?IZ SANT XJEMEE NORTH OF ' FROEHNEM- SUBDIVISION ' CED- 3z6 having been regularly introduced on June 5th, was brought LT for VACATIC:7 ON passage and approval on motion of Councilman Riggs, Haskell second, FL?y;SANT second reading omitted after reading by title by unanimous consent, AV:11UE and then passed, adopted and ordered to print by the following PASS. vote: nn -S: Councilmen Riggs, Haskell, Lytle, Tolliver and Rinn. Gesler relative to the selling of refreshments by: United Service Clubs July 3 and 41 1946 for the benefit of Lodi liemorial Hospital, Councilman COUNTRY FAIR Haskel reported that he had talked with lir R.H.kullen, Chairman LODI LAKE for this event and that he and Councilman Tolliver had also JULY 3 & 4 requested ltrs Gesler to waive the exclusive rights for sale of refreshments for this occasion only. The Council recommended to Mrs Gesler that, for this occasion only, she allow such sales at this event in -as -much as this was of broad community benefit and sponsorship and also that it is very evident that her quota of the items included in the term " refreshments " would be ex- hausted early in this hoilday. _ RE3I1MATION Chief of Police Jackson submitted the mitten resignation of Glean G. After lengthy discussion relative to existing agreement with City Engineer Clinton Henning, it was moved by Councilman Haskell, Lytle second, that the contract with Wr Henning mated June 20, 1945 be termindted by mutual agreement, Wer Henning having indicated that he was agreeable thereto, and, ;:I.iTCN that, in lieu of this contract, Kr Henning be employed as ? ING City Engineer at a monthly salary of. $500.CO plus any ailow- CCNTR CT ances and adjustments as heretofore allowed or that might CCNDIT- be allowed in the future from time to time to other employees IGN3 OF by the City Council. Such employment to encompass: "IO�T (1) Assume the duties of City Engineer and supervise the operational work and activities normally accruing to toe Engineering Department, including buil�ing inspection, street worsts and sewage disposal. (2) Supervise all operational work of an engineering nature involving operations, engineering design or construct- ion normally performed by the city in connection with its m.micipally owned utilities. (3) Render engineering advice and supervise the prepar- ation of engineering studies with city planning and promotion. (4) Suzenf-e the engineering phases of _pplications made by the city for Federal or State funds for engineering or construction pur_.oses, surplus war property, materials or equipment. (5) Attend all meetings of the City Council, City planning Co=ission and such other meetings as the City Council may direct from time to time. Motion carried.
