This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of lodi was called to
order by the ;mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. of rlednesday, June 5, 1946, Councilmen
Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver and ILL= (Mayor) present, none absent. Also
attending City Attorney West, City Engineer Henning, Superintendent of Public
-- Utilities Killelea, Fire Chief Polenske, Chief of Police Jackson and Director
of Recreation Pauly.
The minutes of the last meeting held May 15th were approved after correct-
ion of a clerical error relating to the price of sand for Lake Park,

at Lodi Stadium to accomodate midget auto and motorcycle races.

A claim of Sanitary City Scavenger Company for $51.75 for tractor

work at the City dump grounds was rejected for lack of authoriz-
ation and a claim of Lawis McKil.lan for damages to his automobile
from collision with a fire hydrant extending beyond the curb line
at 602 North Church Street amounting to $27.50 was ordered refer-
red- to the City's insurance carrier.
At this time, it was regularly moved, seconded and carried, that

The City Clerk was authorized to advertise that the Council would
receive proposals for purchase of the 7talnut Crop at Take Park.

Richard D. McClure, returned from service in the armed
R.D.McCLURB forces of the United States, was re -instated in his former
FEINSTAT- classification as "Uechanic" at a salary of $215.50, in-
cluding the cost of living adjustment
The City Engineer was authorized to pay Charles E.KcDor_ald,

should leave at the end of Summer to attend school
At 1:20 A.M. of Thursday, June 6, 1946, the City Council
adjourned on motion of Councilman Riggs,, such adjournment
