This regular meating of the City Council of tde City of Lodi was called
to order by the Yayor at 8:00 o'clock ?..M. of Wednesday, bray 1, 1946.
Councilmen T.A.HaskeJl, Geo.'X.Lytle, N.E.Riggs, H.3.Tolliver and Robert
H.Rinn,Kayor, present, none absent.
:.:inutes of the last meeting held April 17,1945 were read, approved as
read and so endorsed by the layor.
PUBLIC H&A.ZINGS -
Z.r A. 0. Pauley, Director of Recreation requested that the
PyUI.Y City make no charge for use of the ball park in Lawrence Park
=-W;CB PARK this season. On motion of Councilmen Riggs, Tolliver second,
B:,LI. DI_;: ID request granted, users to stand all expenses od such use save
the usual maintenance performed by the City.
PAMY `.:r ?auley also requested. use of the Stadium at night for
SOFT HALL LV soft ball games of the Church League. No action taken pend -

In the matter of the rezoning of Lots 5 and 6, Lase Home
Subdivision. Due publication of notice of hearing being

In the matter of the vacation of Palm Avenue in Subdivision

writing or orally. The preparation of en ordinance vacating
-Palm Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to California Street was
ordered for submission at the next meeting after the City

two alleys crossing this portion of Palm Avenue.

This also being the time and place designated by the City
Council on :arch 20, 1946 for the reception of bids on
a franchise to operate motor bus lines, the Clerk produced
an affidavit of publication of " Notice of A?plication for
Bus Line Franchise, City of Lodi" showing due publication
thereof, in which notice this time and place was set for
the receiving of bids for such franchise. One bid in accord-
