ob,ections to the proposed rezoning of Lots 8 and 9 in
" Barbour -Beckman Tract '', due publication of notice of

that the meeting was now open for the reception of protests.

A letter from Everett Ii. Glenn, City attorney of the City of
rP_CTu3T VS Sacramento solicited a cotribution of $500.00 toward the cost
i.T. & T. of presenting a protest against the a:plication of Pacific
I::E Telephone & Telegraph Companyin its amended applfeltiAy increase

Clerk xas directed to keep in touch with this effort and
the matter continued to the October 1 meeting.
Five recommendations emanating from the City Plaridng CCM—
mission:
Cl) That the rezoning petitioned by Ronald Forsyth and
wife affecting properties :lest of School, South of
Locust and East of Fleasant Avenue, be denied, two
R CCI=IDATIONS public hearings having been had thereon at which

(2) That a varience as to rear yard space be granted to
Peter Martella at 209 Flora Street; set for hearing
October 1 and notice ordered given.

trailers to the four now peimitted at 1235 S. Sacra-
mento Street. Ordered continued pending extension
of present permit.
(4) That the Commission intended granting Dr. Russell 0.
Soittler a Use Per -nit to allow the conduct of offices
for the practice of Medicine & Surgery at 301 East
Oak Street. Issuance approved.
(5) Corplaints of alleged dangerous obstructions to
vision at Vine & Garfield Streets and at Hutchins and
Mina Street referred to the Chief of Police.
