OF LODI :•lednesday, March 19, 1947 This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi was called to order at 3:00 P.M. of 'Nednesday, March 19, 1947, Councilmen Haskell, Lytle, Riggs, Tolliver and ?inn (Malror) present, none absent. Also attending City Attorney ''!est, City Engineer Henning, Supt. Utilities Killelea, Chief of Police Fore, Bldg. Inspctr. Heckenlaible _ and Suot. of Streets Bruner. Yinutes of the last meeting held March 12th were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. FUBLIC !•W'AP.INGS - Mrs. S. A. Thayer, 1321-29 Sargent Road applied for permission to connect to City sewer. On recommendation of the City Engineer, Thayer was granted the priviledge THAYER of building a sewer line along the North line of Sargent Road to the City sewer in Ham Lane. This connection to CONNE'CTI'X 11 be made at his sole cost and subject to his plumbing passing city inspection. The charge for this service to be at the rates to be established for sewa--e services to premises outside City boundaries. Motion Council- man Lytle, Riggs Second. David Melcher submitted the esti,-nate of Adam Preszler of $1000.00 for moving the dwelling at 902 S. utchins VINE STREEET to face Vine Sheet and place it on concrete foundation CP:!IING with concrete lined basement. The Council deemed this to be a fair price,- agreeing to pay not to exceed this amount in return for !'elcher deeding the land necessary from his property for the opening of Vine Street and the widening of Lee avenue. Robert H. Mullen,' representing E. F. Kundert as agent for T. & D. Jr. Enterprises, Inc., D. C. Turnage and John G. All City equipment to be removed and the owner notified. A telegram and letter from It. C. Yoder accepting employment as Chief Sewage Disposal Plant Operator were received and YODER read. The City Engineer was directed to reply to questions propounded in Mr. Yoder's letter concerning the dwelling at the plant, Mxs. Post, now occupying this dwelling to vacate it on or before March 31st. 'MATURE $41,000.00 money from matured Treasury Notes and $306.25 TREAS!_RY from interest thereon was directed to be paid into the NOTES General Fund; motion Tolliver, Lytle second. CL4SS A class specification for "Assistant Building Inspector" presented SP='CIFICATION by the Personnel Clerk from specification of the City Engineer ASST. EIDG. was adopted on :notion of Councilman Tolliver, Lytle second. By INSP%TCR the same motion, the Personnel Clerk was diredted to conduct ADOPT3D examinations for this position. COSSINS Sunt. of Streets Bruner reco:mended that Lon Cossius, Christ Bauer, BATUTE , KURZ Adam Kurz and Arthur :,ardrobe, probationary parr workers be granted 'AAPDPOES permanent status on passing physical examinations and recommenda- tion approved. Business license applications read March 5th, having been BUSINESS approved by the Chief of Police, were ordered granted; LIC'MNSES applications received since this date were read and re- ferred to the Chief of Police. Paul:, Director of Recreation, presented mimeo - PAUL? graphed copies of proposed regulations for power driven boats MOTOR BOATS on Lodi Lake as offered by the Outboard Motor Boat Club of Lodi, explaining some in detail. Mr. Pauly also requested that George Cromwell be allowed to CRCWf'ELL live in a trailer on the North bank of the lake as custodian of the boats berthed there. Permission granted. CANOE'S On motion of Councilmen Haskell, Tolliver second, Mr. Pauly was authorized to purchase four new canoes.
