This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi called to
order by the L:ayor at 8:15 o'clock _'.E. of Wednesday, July 21,1948, Cour cil-
men Bull, Lytle and Rinn present, Councilmen Haskell and Tolliver absent.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting of July lath were read, a^proved
as read and so endorsed by the iayor.

addressed the Council, having previously furnished each

necessary to discontinue use of the Lodi Stadiw-n for racing

Ten applications for business licenses as approved by the Chief

In the mater of the death of Howard S. Cook, July 11th at Lake

Fire chief r'olenske requested that the Gity defray the cost
of rar'_ting- off lots owned by Lodi Union nigh School on

Courcil-cen intending to attend the a^_nual meeting of the

were directed to make application to the :$Hager.
Mr Weller then proceeded to review in detail the expendit-
ures contemplated in his budget submitted July 14th. It
: IMAL was decided that formal adoption of the budget with any
BUDGET Council amendments would be had by resolution at an adjourn-
CONSID= ed meeting to be held July 2Sth when it was hoped a full
attendance of cambers :could be present.
',i Glenn West, City Attorney, presented an read a -proposed
agreement by and between Jay Loveless, the City of Lodi and

OF LCT�ESS less filed December 11,1947 in the amount of $3,030.29 for
0-T-4Jd $2,000.00, of which latter sum the City of Lodi would pay
i--PB)V D $1,156.67 and the County of San Joaquin $833.33. Execution
of this contract approved on motion of Councilman Bull,
Lytle second and carried.
