- MrJESDAY, APRIL 28, 1948
In accordance with the adjournment ta::en from its regular meeting of
April 21, 1948, the City Council of the City of Lodi met at 8:00 o'clock
F.31, of Wednesday, April 23, 1948. Councilmen Buil, Haskell, Lytle,
Tolliver and ?.inn (Mayor) present.
- The minutes of the last meeting held April 21st were read and, after
a correction in the first paragraph of "Communications" relating to the
report of Park Superintendent Bruner, eliminating the causes for delay
of permanent improvements to the ball park from any statement made therein,
approved and so endorsed by the Mayor.
No persons appearing, the order of Public Hearings was passed.
Councilman Bull stated that he had discussed the matter of
amending the Stadium contract with the Student Body of Lodi
Union :sigh School as to city admission charges. Mr Conklin
STADIl.'h FE- favored the change in the present city charge of 50 per
ON AD'�.',ISSIONS admission to 10¢ provided that the 50 fee would. still apply
F17 -ED to holders of "student body tickets". after some discussion
of a police for equitable charges, it }as moved by Council-

than school functions shall be subject to a 10¢ city fee;
games, track -meets etc held by the High School Student Body
to be subject to a 100 charge on each paid admission ticket
except that holders of student body tickets or those admit-
ted on reduced rate student tickets shall pay a charge of
5¢ or. each such ticket. Motion carried and so ordered.
Application of `- Bruner for authority to purchase materials
and do the worn necessary for the following projects was

ADOPTED ,prorated share of the deficit incurred in combatting the
F.T.T.RATFE, application of Facific Telephone and Telegraph Compsny's
INCREASE application for rate increases was introduced, read and thea
CASE adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Buil, Hazkeli, Lytle, Tolliver and Finn
LACES: Councilmen., ?lone. ABSENT: None.
CURE -SDE At the suggestion of Councilman Haskell, concurred in by
LSTTER BSC all members of the Council, the ?ostmaster rias requested

MOJSD of the Federal Building to a new location either on 'Walnut
Street or in the alley -way in the rear of this building in
order to free more space for access to the postoffice from
School Street.
At 1.0:05 Y.M. the Council retired into executive session so
remaining until 11:45 P.M. when adjon nae^t Has taken on
motion of Councilman Tolliver.
It was then moved by Councilman Haskell, Bu11- second and

carried, that all contracts, excepting that relating to

the use of the Stadium by the Student Body of Lodi Union
High School, contain provisions that 20% of the gross
sales of all ccfiessionaires be paid to the City.

Superintendent of Streets and Parks, (.L.Bruner, reported
by letter that members of the cor-nittee appointed to study
