Lodi was called to order b� the i, aycr at 8:00 O'clock P.
of .rednesday, April 7, 1948, Councilmen, -Haskell, Lytle,
Tolliver, and Rinn present, Counc-flran Ries absent,

PUBLIC HEARINGS -
i -Ir. R:abel Barron, representing Child Day Care Center
CRUD stated that she had been informed that the Cit -y had
DAY CARE sold the "Salem School" grounds, on part of which the
CEIi-TER Day Care building is located, and requested that, if
this is true, that provision be made by the City
Council for a neer location in a desireable location.
:ayor Rinn informed Lrs. Barron that the rumored
sale was unfounded, and, that, if this land was
sold, provision for another site for the center's
bwildin� would no doubt be made at that time.

Prior to the adoption of the foregoing resolution,
SACTO. a letter was read from the Superintendz-nt of Streets

:estern" sweeper was authorized providing; that the
L'. R. =aeon Conpany contract was cancelled by that
company.
Lodi Union =igh School was granted use of Lodi
Stadium for June 3rd or 4th provided such use would
not interfere with the prior application o -f Lodi
Chapter Disabled American Veterans £or -lune 5th
and 6th.

were ordered ,ranted as approved b;; the Chief of
Police; applications received since this date were
ordered referred to the Chief of Police in accordance
with ordinance.
The Ctief of Police and Street Superintendent were
directed to have the parking meters on the S. :.
lot facinz Sacramento Street charged from, a char-ge
of 2 hours for 5 cents to 1 hour for 5 cents.
At 10:00 P. the Council retired into executive
session for conference with City Attorney Glenn West so re-
m4ining until 10:40 o'clock F. Y. when ad journn.ent to 8:00
