Councilmen Lytle, Tolliver and Rinn present.

Minutes of the meeting of December 7th,1949 approved without correction.

City Manager 'Weller read a copy of a proposed lease agreement

Baths Building. Some doubt as to the valuation expressed in the
recapture clause arising, the City Manager was directed to again

the proposed lease for Council approval.

City Council from Local No. 439, Teamsters,'Chau.'fAurs, Ware -
Housemen anf Helpers, denying that union pickets had intimidated
any customers of"City Cab Company, denying that this union was
picketing City Transit System and offering their services to
continue bus service.
I tsyor Rinn stated that the City of Lodi had no part in the dispute
! between H.H.'xhaffey, of City Cab Company and Lodi Transit System;

the territory proposed for ennexation as " Fairmont Park Addition
as a suitable name therefore. Resolution Pio. 1503 was then adopt-
ed by the following vote:

Store " on the Northwest corner of Elm and Sacramento Streets,

for a cab stand in front of their place of business be vacated,

alleging that this stand interfered with their customers, also,

that in the existing labor troubles of City Cab Company, the

Teamsters Union was picketing this space, giving the false
impression that picketing applied to their place of business.
Application referred to the City Attorney for his opinion as to
the proper method for revoking a regularly granted cab stand

City -.'wager ':teller submitted the report of Street Superintendent
__FE PCFEIN,s 77. L. Bruner, stating that free parking lots at 116 West Oak_ Stivet

CP 4Ti@. operation, providing sixty-t-wo parking spaces, equivalent to
five and one-half blocks of -parallel parking.
Claims in the amount of $35,556.26, submitted by the Department
CLAIMS of Finan=ce and as approved by the City Manager were allowed and
ordered paid on motion of Councilman Tolliver, Lytle second.
At 9:44 o'clock P.M. the City Council adjourned on motion of
Councilzman Tollivar, all members remaining for informal discuss -
AD CUR171IM47 ion of several pending matters which would later come before
the Council when its full membership is present, particularly
sale of Lodi Aamory to the State of California and the petition
for the licensing of " games of skill " under an ordinance
iientical with that existing in San Joaquin County.
