HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - August 10, 19493°78 COUICIL CHAUSERS CITY COUNCIL CITY HALL - CITY OF LODI WEDNESDAY, AUG13T 10, 1949 As adjourned from the regular meeting of 'August 3, 19499 the City Council of the City of Lodi not, at 5:00 o'clock P.M. of Wednesday, August 10, 1949, r - Councilmen Bull, Haskell, Lytle and Rinn present at the opening of the meet- ing, Councilman Tolliver appeared at 5:18 P.M. and took his seat in the Council. Mayor Rinn directed't#at bids received for the improvement of portions of major streets, Sacramento Street, Central Avenue; Attest: . F. BLAt4+LY, City erk Lodi Avenue and East and Best Vine -Streets be now opened and MASOR STREET declared, viz - BIDS CPENSD Claude C. Wood Ccmpeny...... :............ $ 43,741.00 - S. M.' Mc Gaw Company ..................... 46,676.75 A. Teichert & Son ........................ 51,963.50 On recommendation of the City Manager, the above bids Were ref- erxted to the City Engineer and the Superintendent of Streets for checking as to regularity and mathmatical accuracy, their report to be made to the City Council later in this meeting. ORDINANCE NO. 3969 entitled, " MAKING APPROPRIATIM43 OF RE72M AND ADOPTING BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL `TEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1949 AND ENDING IN JUNE 30, 1950 " having been introduced 'August 3, OMTNANCE 1949 was brought up for passage on motion of Councilman Haskell, Yo. 396 Bull second, second reading emitted after reading by title by ADOPTED unanimous consent, and then passed, adopted and ordered to print APPROPRIATING by the following vote: REVENUE 1949-50 AYES: Councilmen, Haskell, Burn, Lytle, Tolliver and Rinn NOES: Councilmen, None. ABSENT: Councilmen, None. Mayor Rinn then approved and signed Ordinance No. 396 TAX RATE RFSa UTION NO. 1484 " F=G RATS OF TAKATICN N3CESSARY TO FIXF,D BY PROPIDE M72SUE FCE TBE FISCAL YEAR BEGIMING dIILY 1, 1949 ADOPTICN AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1950 " Was introduced by Councilman Bull, RESOL=(N Who moved adoption, motion seconded by CouncilS¢an Tolliver NO. 1484. and this resolution then adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen, Bull, Tolliver, Haskell`, Lytle and Rinn - The annual maintenance agreement with the State Division of STATE 1110Y Highways covering State Highways in Lodi was then approved MAINTENANCE for the fiscal year 1949-50 by the adoption of Resolution AGRiT No. 1485, passed by the assenting votes of all members of the APPROVED. City Council. Mayor Rinn then signed the agreement. RES }485. - At this time, the City Engineer and the Superintendent of Streets reported that all the bids received as first above stated were in RES AWARD regular form and mathmetically correct. City Manager Weller C.C.Woob Co recommended that award be made to Claude C. Wood Company as the RES 1486 lowest and best bidder and award was so made by the adoption of MAT STS. Resolution No. 1486 regularly passed by the vote of all members of the City Council. At 6.05 o'clock P.M. the City Council adjourned on motion of Councilman Tolliver. Attest: . F. BLAt4+LY, City erk
