Councilmen Bull, Hassell, Lytle, Tolliver and ?inn present, none absent. The minutes of the last meeting held May 4, 1949 were svoroved as written, copies having been furnished each Councilman. PUBLIC FEE - This being the time and place set for the hearing of objections against t#e granting of three to d -cab stands to H. E. Mahaffey, TAXI CAB doing business as City Cab Company, proper publication of notice S^'ANDS was proven by affidavit. The Mayo= called for objections and GRANTED none were offered. It was then moved by Councilmen BuLl, Haskell CITY CAB 00. second, that applicant be allowed stands at or near 117 Lest Pine Street, Pine and Sacramento Streets,NE, and on West Ilm Street near Sacramento Streets. Motion carried and so ordered. Motion carried and Ordinance No. 390 ordered to be laid over for the statutory period of not less than five days before being considered for passage. - A public hearing was than had and conducted on the proposed rezoning of Lot 40 Walnut Orchard Tract and the parcel of land South thereof lying between Lloyd Street and Lot 41 of the ORDINANCE 389 same tract. (minutes of May 18,1949 -Coat inued) 361 COUNCIL CHAMBERS CITY COUNCIL CITY HALL - CITY of LODI '"he City Council then entered into the consideration of a street improvement program submitted by the City Mar -gar to be financed from moneys other than special assessments in the next five fiscal years entailing an average annual expenditure of $67,000. The streets to be improved being STarranged according to the Street Superintendents judgment MJPM 7MENT as to urgency. It was brought out that this order of PROGRAM priority could be changed frim time to time if found AFPROVLD necessary by the City Council of if the funds available fluctdated. Mayor Rinn emphasized that this program is feasible this year and may be during the life of the progran but that the City my have to rev -_rt to special assessments should gasoline taxes, parking meter income or shared motor vehicle registration fees be decreased by legislative action or caurt decision. Council man Haskell then moved the approval of the program, partic- ularly that portion appertaining to the 1949-50 fiscal year. "lotion seconded by Councilman Bull and carried.
