BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of replacement of Boiler #1 and incidental electrical equipment at the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility. The $80,000 budgeted in 1997/98 was not used on Boiler #2. The inspection also found Boiler #1 was failing and in need of replacement and needs to be replaced now. It is proposed that the $80,000 budgeted in 1997/98 be used to fund Boiler #1, along with $14,000 from the contingency fund. The $85,000 budgeted in 1998/99 will no longer be needed.
