AGENDA TITLE:. Donation of Range Hood from Main Street Fire Station
MEETING DATE: October 15, 1997

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council authorize the City Manager to approve the donation
of the range hood (picture attached) from the old fire station on
Main Street to the Lodi Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1968 (VFW) and
establish a donation amount, if necessary.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City has received a request from the VFW for the donation of
the range hood from the old Main Street fire station for use at its
Post 1968, located at 23 West Elm Street. The VFW has offered to
make a donation to the City of Lodi, if requested. (See attached
letter from VFW dated August 16, 1997.)
FUNDING: Not applicable.

Request Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (a Non Profit
Orginzation) be give consideration for the range hood, located in.the old
fire station on Main Street. It will be used in the Lodi VFW Post 1968
located at 23 W. Elm Street.
The Post will make a donation to the City of Lodi, if requested.
