(STATUTORY MEETING)
This meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held
beginning at 4:30 o'clock P.M. of Tuesday, April 18, 1950, each
member of the City Council having signed a formal notice of waiver
of notice and consent to meeting at this hour prior to roll call.
Councilmen Bull, Haskell, Lytle, Tolliver and Mayor Rinn
present, none absent.
Mayor Rinn announced that this meeting was held to receive
the returns of the general municipal election held April 11, 1950,
canvass such returns, find the results of election and install the
officers elect.
The report of the City Clerk, transmitting the official returns
from each of the six election precincts, was read and the Mayor
appointed Councilmen Bull and Tolliver as tellers to canvass the
vote casts. At the completion of this canvass findings of the
results thereof were made by the adoption of the following resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 1521
RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION
'WHEREAS, A general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Lodi on Tuesday, the 11th day of April, 1950, as
is required by law, and,
WHEREAS, It appears "from the report of the City Clerk and the
records on file in his office that notice of said election was duly
and legally given; that voting precincts were properly established
and the polling places thereof designated; that election officers
were appointed and qualified; that election supplies including
official ballots were furnished each of said precincts and that,
in all respects, said election was held and conducted and the votes
cast thereat received and canvassed and the returns thereof made,
determined and declared in time, form and manner as required by
laws of this State providing for and regulating municipal elections
in sixth class cities, and,
',TEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lodi meeting at the
Council Chambers thereof on this Tuesday, the 18th day of April,
1950, to canvass the returns of said election and to install the
newly elected officers, finds, as a result of said count and canvass
that the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for,
the offices for which said election was held and all other matters
required by law to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND DECLARED:
(1) That said general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Lodi, California on the lith day of April, 1950, in
the time, form, and manner required by lax,
(2) That there were six voting precincts established in said
City for the purpose of holding said election, as follows:
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT A, comprising San Joaquin County
precincts 1, 2, 3, 23, and 26 as established for holding State
and County elections.
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT B, comprising San Joaquin County
precincts 4, 5, 6, 7, and 22 as established for holding
State and County elections.
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT C, comprising San Joaquin County
precincts 8, 9, 18, 24, and 25 as established for holding
State and County elections.
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT D, comprising San Joaquin County
precincts 10, 11, 13, 15, and 19 as established for holding
State and County elections.

precincts 12, 14, and 16 as established for holding State
and County elections.
CONSOLIDATEI; VOTING PRECINCT F, comprising San Joacuin County
precincts 17, 20 and 21 as established for holding State
and County elections.
(3) That the whole number of votes cast in said City of Lodi
at the said election was FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY FOUR
(5894).
(4) That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for
which they were voted, the number of votes received by each of
said persons in each of said precincts together with the whole
number of votes received in the entire City by each of said persons
are as follows:

RESOLVED, Therefore, that at said General Municipal Election,
held in the City of Lodi on April 11, 1950, the following named
persons were elected to the offices and for the terms of office
hereinafter set forth:
ROBERT H. RINN was re-elected a member of the City Council
for a term of four years from and after Tuesday, the l8th day of
April, 1950, and until his successor shall have been elected and
shall have nualified;
EDIWARD PRESZLER was elected a member of the City Council for
a term of four years from and after Tuesday, the 18th day of April,
1950, and until his successor shall have been elected and shall
have nualified;
T. A. HASKELL was re-elected a member of the City Council
for a term of four years, from and after Tuesday, the 18th day of
April, 1950, and until his successor shall have been elected and
shall have nualified.
Upon the adoption of this Resolution, the City Clerk shall
enter a full copy thereof on the Records of the City Council for
its meeting of Tuesday, April 18, 1950.
The foregoing Resolution No. 1521 was then adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tolliver, Bull, Haskell, Lytle and Finn.
NOES: None ABSENT: None
Mayor Rinn, Councilman Tolliver, Councilman Bull and Council-
man Haskell expressed their appreciation of the work of retiring

Councilman George W. Lytle during his four years on the City
Council. Mr.Lytle thanked Council members stating that he had
enjoyed working with them and would continue his efforts as a
citizen to nronote the welfare of the City.
On motion of Councilman Bull, the City Council then
adjourned sine die.
The City Clerk then administered the statutory oath of office
to Councilmen elect Rinn, Haskell and Preszler. It being the
unanimous choice of Councilmen present that reorganization be
continued to the April 19th meeting, no further action was taken
and ad=ournment was had at 5:45 P.I.
