" Class Specifications " for City personnel as submitted by State of California personnel Board, Cooperative Personnel RZSOLU711 Services, were approved and adopted by the passage of Resol- 110. 1646 ution No. 1646 introduced by Councilman Haskell, I>reszler ADOPTS second. All Councilmen voting in favor of the passage of this CLASS SPECS, resolution. Amendments contained in the resolution change the FOR PERS(ROM title of the classification " Senior Fireman -Driver " to ADOPTED. " House Captain " and delete some supervisory duties; it also adds the classification " Fire Captain " using specifications sumbitted by the State Personnel Board for this position. Specifications as contained :Ln.a " Notice to Bidders " submitted G;L.SOLIIIv by the Purchasing Clerk covering the City+s requirements for BIDS Gasoline for the year 1952 were approved on motion of Councilman AUTfiMUM Preszler, Haskell second; bids returnable to the Purchasing Clerk December 17th and submitted to the City Council at its meeting of December 19th. On application accompanied by consent of bondman, William BUB121ARDT Burkhardt was granted an extension of time in which to complete CMMACT his contract of August 1, 1951 for construction of sidewalks EXTENDgD in the north -rest pert of the City, such extension to be until TO 2-1-52 February 1, 1952. it was co=on knowledge that this work had been delayed by no fault of the contractor; the property owners desiring time in which to remove hedges, trees and lawns along the line of the work. New Years Day. Claims in the amount of $82,927.44 as submitted by the CLUNS Finance Department covering the month of November were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Councilman Preszler, Bull second. - A proposal of the'City Recreation Coarnission that -new bleachers ?.EMMTICN be purchased and erected in Lawrence Park Hard Ba11 Wounds CaclaSSION was referred to the City Aftnager for reconmendation. The BALI, PARK Commission proposed 600 seats for 1952 and 300 additional in RT.Fq each of the two following years; the present inadequate and unsafe wooden bleachers to be temporarily repaired so as to furnish seating untill all new seats are installed. The Council expressed strong opposition to the spending of any appreciable amount of money on the old bleachers• POLICE The November report of the Police Department was submitted REPORT by the Chief of Police and copies furnished such Councilmen as desired them. On inquiry as to the renting of the ten acres acquired by RENTAL OF the City for a park oxi South Stockton.
