The recuest for a transfer of a loading sone from
its eser location. on the east side of -Church

was agreed that, in the absence of any compelling
reasons, it would not be to the best interests

A complaint from e property owner on :'est Elm
Street that water collected in the street in front
of his property thereby causinm inconvenience was
reported. City Manager Weller replied that this
::as ' recurring compiaint from this Darty" and that
the party had been advised that the only lasting
solution to to problem would be the removal of
the street tree causing the damage to the street
DRAINAGE and curb. ? ayor °askell stated that the Council
P??ORLE:•:S has b .en confronted with this type of problem for
many years but his met resistance to the pro-
posal to remove the offending trees. He further
stated that the drainage problem in the entire
City should be studied rather than just the p iso-
lated cases as complaints carte into the Engineer's
CITY ENGINEER o:ece. ie then recuested that the City Engineer

of places in the City that suffered poor drainage
