Schneider then addressed the Council to state that the purchasers of property in the Schneider Tract had been informed that Falls Avenue was to be vacated upon opening of Crescent and Roper Avenues to the north. Several property owners answered that while it is true that they had been informed that Falls Avenue would be closed, they had been lead to believe that such closing would not take place until Daisy Avenue, or other street, was opened to the south. "_ayor Haskell pointed out that if Falls Avenue is not closed the owners of property on Crescent and Roper Avenues will be con- fronted with a drainage problem this winter. Coun- ciiman Robinson roved that' --a abandonmpnt of F?lis Avenue be Dostponed until such time asvrescent and .'roper Avenues have a souther.,, exit to Daisy, and that the City does not assume any responsibility for maintaining said street or providing drainage.
