development this year. The feasibility of partial development
was disputed, sore contending that leveling must be done
as a whole. Both Mayor Tolliver and City Wnage= Weller
emphasized the matter of present shortages in materials for
complete development, particularly piping for sprinkler
system. Also, the City Recreation Commission's plans had
apparently reached no final state; at one time, this
Commission advocated development of two and one -ba -If acres
this year; at another time, the Commission had proposed
tae entire ten acres for immediate improvement. There was
no provision made in the Glans for street opening and
improvement and no cost estimates had been prepared.
Council—n Haskell suggested a point meeting of the City
Council and the City Recreation Commission, to be held at
the earliest opportunityywould enable the City Council to
arrive at a decision in this matter. Mayor Tolliver con-
curred with P& Haskell's statement. IL' Haskell then moved
that the Mayor arrange such a meeting to be held before
February 20th; .Councilman Bull seconded this motion and
on a vote being had, motion carried.

the seats offered to the City by the San Francisco Seals
