LOCIEFORD ST.
Mr. Weller than read a recommendation from the
By -PASS
Planning Commission that the City Council do every -
CONNECTION
thing in its power to accomplish a direct connection
of Lockeford Street to an interchange with the
State Highway By-pass. The Planning Commission
had received a report from the City Engineer that
it will be more economical for the City to develop
Lockeford Street as a major access route complete
with grade separation at the railroad tracks than
it would be to develop Locust Street in the same
manner. The memo stated that the Planning Commission
is unanimous in the opinion that Lockeford Street
should be connected directly to an interchange in
order to complete an even -flow traffic pattern in
compliance with what is considered to be good plan-
ning. The Division of Highways has already told
