PROTEST h:CGiLL I•:_. Edwin Faszer, 20 South Fairmont, addressed
BAPS! the City Council to ask if something coup: be
,'one to remove the .barn (belon7ir.- to G L.
:csill) which is on t --e west si^e of Fairr-ert
avenue between. Pine and Oak Streets. The
.:estion was referred to the City Attorney
.vho informed i•.r. Faszer that this barn had
existed on he pronerty before the oronerty
was subdivided and t^e street installed.
Since it was a non-corC;forr.ir.g use in the
residerti-1 zone, he did not believe anythir.;
could be done Ander the present ordinances.
:r. ^aszer also comnlained that the nropert;
on. the northeast corner of Fairmont ~venue
and Oak Street did not '^.ave a sidewalk alon7
the Fair:ront h'lenue side of the rronert,-.
:e added that it Was ^:e custom of the nror,-
erty owners to pile rubtish and carden refuse
in this sidewalk area. i•:r. Mullen replied
that this was a private matter which would
have to be ':andled with civil action.. Coun-
cil -an Robiron stated that he lived in the
vicinil- and he would line t.n ear 1.`P barn .
7ovel, but he agreed it could not be done;
however, he sug-ested that the rronert•; on
the norti:east corner of Fairmont and Oak
Street ce!.ld be forced to install the side-
walk if the sidewalk on the balance of the
-'lock cavered 40'% of the frontae:e of the
.dock.
