APRIL 15, 1958
This meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi,
regularly adjourned from April 2, 195'', was held at 8:00 p.m.
of Tuesday, April 15, 1958; Councilmen Fuller, Katzakian, Mitchell,
Robinson and Hughes (Mayor) present; none absent. City Manager
Glaves and City Attorney Mullen also present,
RESULTS OF Mayor Hughes appointed Councilman Fuller, Council-
A?RIL 8, 1952 man Katzakian and the City Clerk to open and
ELECTION count the absentee ballots. Upon completion
of the absentee ballot count and the canvass
RES. NO. 2114 of the election returns, findings of the result
ADOPTED of the election were made by the passage of the
following Resolution on notion of Councilman
Katzakian, Fuller second:
RESOLUTION NO. 211L
DECLARIvG RESULT OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted
in the City of Lodi on Tuesday, the 8th day of April, 1951, as
is required by law, and
WHEREAS, it appears from the report of the City Clerk and
the records on file in her office that voting precincts were
properly established and the olling places thereof designated;
that election officers were appointed and qualified; that election
supplies, including official ballots, were furnished each of
said precincts; and that, in all respects, said election was held
and cohducted and the votes received thereat received and canvassed
and the returns thereof made, determined and declared in time,
form and manner as required by the laws of the State providing
for and regulating elections in sixth class cities, and
ri=EE__AS, the City Council of the City of Lodi, meeting at
the City Council Chambers this 15th day of Aoril, 1958, to count
the absentee voters ballots voted, canvass the returns of election
from the various precincts and to install the newly elected
officers, finds, determines and declares, as a result of said
count and canvass:
(1) That said General Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Lodi, California, on the 8th day of
April, 195°, in tine, form an manner required by law;
(2) That there were nine voting precincts establishes in
said city forthe purpose of holding said election, viz:
VOTING PRECINCT 1, comprising State and County precinct
numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4.
VOTING PRECINCT 2, comprising State and County precinct
numbers 5, 6, 7, ? and 11.
VOTING PRECINCT 3, comprising State and county precinct
numbers 9, 10, 12, 12A and 13.
VOTING PRECI'CT 4, comprising State and County precinct
numbers 14, 14A, 15, 16 and 16A.
VOTING PRECINCT 5, comprising State and County precinct
numbers 17, 1R, 19, 20 and 21.

Council -an Fuller expressed his zood wishes :"or the
incoming councilmen and gratification for the fine
relations^ins he hac: with other -embers of theCouncil
during his term of office, Mayor Ru='^es thanked his fellow
councilmen. and the administration for the cooperation
he had received and offeree his conaratul-tions to t^e
incoming councilmen, Councilmen Katzakian, Robinson and
Mitchell commended the outgoing councilmen nor the fine
job they had one, The City Clerk then administered the
Constitutional Oath of Office and the oath of loyalty,
required by Sections 3100-3109 of the Government Code,
to the newly elected councilmen. She then called the
new Council to order and called for noninations for Mayor,
Bozant Katzakian was nominated by Councilman Robinson,
Mitchell second, On motion of Councilman. Yobinson, Brown
second, the nominations were closed and a unanimous ballot
cast for Councilr:an Katzakian as Mayor, Mayor Katzakian
took his seat as presiding officer of the City Council
and called for nominations for the office of Mayor Fro
Tempore, Councilman Mitchell, Culbertson second, nominated
Councilman. Brown, on the notion of Councilman Robinson,
Katzakian second, the nominations were closed and a unani-
mous vote was cast for Councilman Brown as `?ayor Fro
Tempore, Mayor Katzakian thanked the Council for select-
ing him as Mayor and after expressions of appreciation
from the newly elected councilmen, the Council adjourned.
