This _ e,ular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Lodi hell beginning at 8:00 p.m. of Wednesday, November 18,
1959; Councilmen Culbertson, ^atzakian, Mitchell, Robinson and
Brown (Mayor) present; none absent. City Manager slaves,
Administrative Assistant Brown and Panning Director Rodgers
present. City Attorney Mullen absent.

written and mailed on motion of Councilman Kat-
zakia., Mitchell second.
PUBLIC HEARINGS

Councilman Mitchell, Culbertson second, the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 2277 changing the
street names recommended.

Robinson second, Ordinance No. 662 rezoning prop-
erty at 618 and 626 East Pine Street was intro-
duced by unanimous vote by reading of title only
and waiving reading of the ordinance in full.

SETBACK LINE
ON W. LOCKE.-

The Planning Commission recommended that building
setback lines be established on 'lest Lockeford
Street between Church Street and California
Street at 40 feet each site of and parallel to a
certain center line in order to provide for an
eventual four -lane street upon ultimate develop-
ment as a commercial street. Councilman Robin-
son moved, Culbertson second that the matter be
set for public hearing on December 16, 1959.
Motion carried.
SETBACK LINE The Planning Commission recommended that the exist -
5. SAOTO. ST. ing setback lines on South Sacramento Street be
amended so as to correct an error in the orisinal
ordinance. The setback lines should be 30 feet
each side of and parallel to the center line of
South Sacramento Street between Lodi Avenue and a
point 350 feet south of Tamarack Drive. On mo-
tion of Councilman Katzakian. Mitchell second,
the matter was set for public hearing on Deoem-
ber 16, 1959.

The Council proceeded with consideration of the
C?-Jitsl Outlay Pro.-ra'?. The followine- department
heads 'were present to answer questions: Police
Chief Coon, Sunerintendent of Recreation and

e-laible, Sunerintendent of Utilities Mlle, ea,
and Fire Chief Polenske.

in discussing the various items on the Program,
t'ne Council agreed to the following chanes:
Eli..._._ -.ion of 160,000 for a firehouse in 1962-63;
increase in the amount needed for a hall of Justice
