CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS
JUNE 15, 1955
This meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi, regularly
adjourned from June 9, 1965, was held at 5115 p.m. of Tuesday, June I5,
1965.
ROLL CALL Present. Councilmen - BROF7iU, CULBERTSON, DOW, and
KIRST04 (wayox )
Absent. Councilmen - VIKLTON
Also present were City N,anager Glaves and Administrative
Assistant Peterson.
CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS
Upon completion of the canvass of the election returns
for the June S. 1965 Special Municipal Bond Election,
findings of the result of the election were made by
the passage of the following resolution on motion of
Councilman Dow, Culbertson second%

RESOLUTIC0 OF THE CITY QJUIJCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI
DCCLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF SPECIAL
NU41CIPAL BOND ELECTION
WHEREAS, by proceedings duly had and taken. -the special municipal
bond election held in the City of Lodi (hereinafter called the "City")
on June S. 1965, was held on said date in accordance with law, and the
votes thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained,
determined and declared in all respects as required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lodi, as follows:
1. The City Clerk of the City be and is hereby instructed to enter
this resolution on the minutes of this Council as a statement of the
result of said election.
2. The total number of ballots cast in the City at said special
municipal bond election was 5729 ballots. 26 ballots were spoiled and
not counted.
3. At said special municipal bond election the following measures
were submitted to the electors of the City and the number of votes given
in the City for and against each of said measures (including absentee
votes) was as follows:

MEASURE (A): Shall the City of Lodi incur
(Sewer System a bonded indebtedness in the
Improvements) principal amount of $4,215,000
for the acquisition, construc-
tion and completion of the following municipal
improvement, to wit: Sewer system improvements,
including acquisition of land for treatment
plant site, treatment plant facilities for sew-
age and industrial waste, outfall line, collec-
tion mains, pipes and connections; easements
and rights of way; and other works, property
or structures necessary or convenient for sewer

Building) principal amount of $1,145,000
for the acquisition, construc-
tion and completion of the following municipal
improvement, to wit: t. new public safety
building, including facilities for central fire
station, Justice Court, police headquarters and
jail, and civil disaster emergency operation
--:center, together with landscaping and other
site developments and off-street public parking
facilities; lands, easements and rights of way;
and other works, property or structures neces-
sary or convenient for a new public safety

MEASURE (C): Shall the City of Lodi
(Storm Drainage incur a bonded indebted -
Improvements) ness in the principal
amount of $1,840,000 for
the acquisition, construction and completion
of the following municipal improvement, to
wit; Storm drainage improvements, including
acquisition of lands for drainage basins,-
construction of drainage basins (which will
be used incidentally for park and playground
purposes), inflow and outflow structures,
dry wells, filter caps, piping and pumps,
together with landscaping and fencing; ease-
ments and rights of way; and other works,
property or structures necessary or conven-
ient for storm drainage improvements for the

5. All absent voter ballots have been duly received and canvassed
in time, form and manner as required by law, and the result of the
absentee vote for and against each of said measures submitted at said
special municipal bond election is as set forth above.
6. That more than two-thirds (2/3) of all of the votes cast at
said special municipal bond election on said 19easure(s) A, B and C
were in favor thereof, (respectively,) and that (each of) said
measure(&) carried.
7. That less than two-thirds (2/3) of all of the votes cast at
said special municipal bond election on said Pleasure(s)
were in favor thereof, (respectively,) and that (each of) said measures)
failed to carry.
