He stated that the staff had estimated the minimum cost for renovation of the fire house to be approximately $1,960; this figure would include no paint or floor covering. In answer to a question raised by Councilman Ehrhardt concerning the possibility of closing off the driveway from Lodi Avenue, Public Works Director Jones estimated the cost of curb and gutter for this project to be $150. Mr. Roger Carr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lodi Junior Chamber of Commerce, 5336 East Woodbridge Road, Acampo, addressed the Council con- cerning the use of the fire house by the Jaycees. He explained that approximately three years ago the Lodi Jaycees offered to do the necessary repairs to the old fire house so that they might use it as a meeting place for their group. At that time the group was refused permission to use the building as a meeting place but did receive permission to store an old fire truck there. He suggested that joint use of the building by both the Jaycees and The Mensch might be possible.
