CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS
JUNE 30, 1972
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi was held
beginning at 5:05 p. m. on Friday, June 30, 1972, in the Citv Hall Council
Chambers.
ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen - HUGHES, KATNICH,
PINKERTON, SCHAFFER
and EHRHARDT (Mayor)
Absent: Councilmen - done
UNCLASSIFIED On motion of Councilman Katnich, Schaffer second, the
PERSONNEL City Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 3647
establishing the effecti e date for whatever salary
RES. NO. 3647 adjustments may be granted to unclassified personnel
to be effective July 1, 1,?72.
SANITARY City Manager Glaves reported that he had met with
LANDFILL County Administrator L. J. Drake to discuss problems
concerning the jcint operation of the Sanitary Landfill.

Also present: City Manager Glaves and Assistant City
Manager Peterson.
EXECUTIVE
The City Council immediately went °ato an executive
SESSION
session to discuss personnel matters and reconvened
at 5:17 p.m.
SALARIES-
The City Manager stated an agreement had been reached

with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Local 1245 which included a 7 1/20/c increase for all
RES. NO. 3646
classes represented by the IBEW and those classes re-
lated thereto, except the classifications of Groundman,
Utility Warehouseman -Clerk and Utility Services
Operator I, for which agreement had been reached
at 576.
On motion of Councilman Schaffer, Katnich second, the
City Council unanimously approved the terms and con-
ditions of the settlement with the International Brother-
hood of Electrical Workers Local 1245 and adopted
Resolution No. 3646 establishing the effective date of
the salary increases to be July 1, 1972.
SALARIES -
City Manager Glaves reported that the -negotiations
S. J. C. E. A.
with the San Joaquin County Employees' Association
had been in mediation and as of tads date no agreement
had been reached. He pointed out that the Association
had requested to meet with City representatives and
the mediator again on July 6, 1972. The City Manager
recommended negotiations continue as requested by
the Association and no action be taken by the Council
at this time. The Council concurred with this
recommendation.

He said the Council should receive correspondence
from Mr. Drake on this matter prior to the Council
meeting on July 5.
There being no further business, the City Council
adjourned on motion of Councilman Katnich, Pinkerton
second, at approximately 5;35 p.m.
