Ordinance No, 1135 amending the Specific Plan
for Beckman Road as follows:

The City Manager gave the following report of
the Planing Commission meeting of January 23,
1978:

On motion of Courcilman Katzakian, Ehrhardt
second, the matter was set for Public Hearing on

The Planning Commission also -
ITEMS OF 1. Permanently approved the request of the
INTEREST Spanish Church of God for a Use Permit to use
an existing non -conforming commercial building
at 301 Eden Street for church purposes in an
area zoned R -MD, Medium Density Multiple
Family Residential. The matter was approved
for a 6 -month review period on July 11, 1977.
Z. Conditionally approved the request of Mr. Wood-
row Mitchell for the approval of the Tentative
Maa of De Pauli Gardens, a 1/2 acre, 6 -lot con-
dominium development proposed for 615 South
Hutchins Street.
Conditionally approved the request of Mr. Norman
K. Taylor and Mr. Joseph A. Perry for a Use
Permit to re-establish a private (i.e. membership)

Sanguiretti and Arr,aiz Development Company
for the approval of the Tentative Map of
Mokelumn e Village, a 57 -acre tract proposed
for single-family, duplex and commercial uses
on the north side of East Turner Road between
the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and
State Route 99.
PROPOSED NEW SUB- City Manager Giaves then apprised the Council
DIVISION ORDINANCE that the Planning Commission in a Special Session
& OFF-SITE IM- held January 30, 1978 reviewed the proposed New
PROVEMENT ORDI- Subdivision Ordinance and Off -Site Improvement
MANCE Ordinance and suggested certain changes. At the
time the changes are submitted by the Staff, these
matters will be set for Public Hearing.
COMMUNICATION City Clerk Reimche presented a letter which had
been received from Max Elson, the City's Agent
of Record, advising that he assumes that the
City's Recreation Department will soon start
planning the 4th of July Celebration which has, in
years past, been held at Lodi Lake and includes
the annual boat races. Mr. Elson stated that these
races have been promoted by some boating organ-
ization out of Sacramento, and this organization not
only handles all the promotion but is actually respon-
sible for and in charge of all the details on the day of
the race. Mr. Elson recommends that the City put
the promotors of this event on notice now that they
must have insurance in adequate limits and produce
evidence that the City of Lodi as well as the Chamber
of Commerce is included as Additional Named In-
sured with adequate limits.
Mayor Katnich directed Staff to forward a letter to
the promotors of the annual 4th of July Boat Races
appris_ng them that they must acquire insurance in
adequate limits for this event and name the City of
Lodi and the Chamber of Commerce as Additional
Named Insured.
