ROLL CALL Present: Council Members — Hitchcock and Land (Mayor) Absent: Council Members — Mann, Nakanishi and Pennino Present representing service clubs — Lyle Liden, Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club; JoAnne Rantz, Lodi Rotary Club; Charlie Mauch, Lodi Lions Club; Ron Williamson, Lodi-Tokay Rotary Club; Dorean Rice, Lodi-Tokay Rotary Club; Jean Beckman, The Woman's Club of Lodi; Leonard Messer, Historical Society; Janice Roth, Hill House Museum; Walt Scheffer, Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi; Rae Whitby, Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi; Betsy Gandi, Soroptimist International of Lodi Also present from the City: Deputy City Manager Keeter, Administrative Assistant to the City Manager Haynes, Parks Superintendent Dauber, City Attorney Hays and City Clerk Reimche Also present was a representative from The Record. 2. DISCUSSION OF ITEMS OF MUTUAL CONCERN Mayor Land welcomed the group and thanked them for attending the luncheon, followed by self -introductions of those in attendance. Mayor Land thanked all of the participants for their club's involvement in a variety of projects in the community and indicated that our parks and park facilities are outstanding as a result of their project involvement. Parks and Recreation Director Williamson gave a brief presentation regarding past service club projects. Mr. Williamson pointed out that the City is willing to loan funds to service clubs on an agreed payment schedule where the project is of such a size that full payment could not be made at the time of completion of the project. Parks Superintendent Dauber gave a presentation regarding proposed future projects at Lodi Lake Park, including the 13 -acre site on the West Side. Discussion followed with questions being directed to the Mayor and staff. Council Member Hitchcock spoke briefly thanking all of the service clubs for their outstanding volunteerism and community service.
