LODI CITY COUNCIL
CARNEGIE FORUM, 305 WEST PINE STREET
LODI, CALIFORNIA
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1992
Pursuant to State statute, Mayor Pinkerton called to order a Special Meeting of
the Lodi City Council on Tuesday, November 3, 1992 at 7:00 a.m. Notice of this
meeting had been sent out and posted according to law.
ROLL CALL City Clerk Reimche recorded roll as follows:
Present: Council Members - Hinchman, Pennino, Sieglock,
Snider and Pinkerton (Mayor)
Absent: Council Members - None
Also Present: City Manager Peterson, Assistant City
Manager Glenn, Finance Director Flynn, City
Attorney McNatt and City Clerk Reimche
The City Council was advised that Assistant City Manager
Glenn met with Dave Vaccarezza on October 29, 1992 to
discuss implementation of the refuse rates and the new
collection system. It was mutually agreed that the
administration and operational problems could not
completely be overcome by November 1, 1992. The Finance
Department was directed not to send out any bills until
after the City Council meeting of November 3, 1992.
Discussion followed with questions being directed to staff
and to Mr. Vaccarezza who was in the audience.
On motion of Council Member Hinchman, Pennino second, the
City Council voted to delay the implementation of rates set
forth in Ordinance Nos. 1558 and 1559 until December 1,
1992.
There being no further business to come before the City
Council, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:15
a.m.
