b) Council Member Mann reported that he received a telephone call from a

that he too was offended by it. He requested that the Mayor write a
letter to National Billboard Company and to the advertiser, Rock 104
in Modesto, advising them that we object to the billboards content
and to remove it. Council Member Mann asked the public to also
launch a campaign against it by calling and writing the radio station
and billboard company and to let them know that Lodi objects to this
type of advertisement.
City Manager Peterson commented that he has had calls and visitors in

contacted the local manager of 3M, which is the sign company, who
responded that they only rent the space. The calls to the radio
station have gone unanswered.
