Roll was recorded by the City Clerk as follows: Present: Council Members - Davenport, Mann, Sieglock, Snider and Pennino (Mayor) Absent: Council Members - None Also Present: City Manager Peterson, Assistant City Manager Glenn, Finance Director Flynn, Revenue Manager Cadwallader, Account Manager McAthie, Community Center Director Lange, Electric Utility Director Rice, Assistant Electric Utility Director Hansen, City Attorney McNatt, and City Clerk Perrin Mayor Pennino called the meeting to order. 1993-94 OPERATING BUDGET REVIEW CC -21(b) COMMUNITY CENTER DEPARTMENT BUDGET Assistant City Manager Glenn presented an overview of the Community Development Department's budget and outlined some of the reductions/additions in the 1993-94 Operating Budget. Speaking on the matter were the following: a) Frank Alegre, 2000 Edgewood Drive, Lodi; and b) Tim Mattheis, Lodi Arta Commission Chairperson. Following discussion among the City Council and staff, the City Council, on motion of Council Member Mann, Sieglock second, unanimously amended the budget to show an asterisk in the Community Center Department budget explaining the usage of Hutchins Street Square by other City Departments. Further, questions were asked regarding cost of the Hutchins Street Square pool, logging and tracking of usage of Hutchins Street Square by other City Departments and outside parties, and the budgets for the Lodi Arts Commission and the Senior Citizens Commission. 1 Continued June 15, 1993 CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT ELECTRIC UTILITY DEPARTMENT BUDGET Mayor Pennino informed the City Council that he had spoken to City Attorney McNatt earlier on whether or not he had a conflict of interest regarding this matter, and that he would be abstaining from discussion and voting if need be. Assistant City Manager Glenn presented a report on the Electric Utility Department's budget and outlined the reductions, elimination of staff positions, and the purchase of additional power. Following further discussion, it was determined that this matter would need to be discussed at an additional meeting. The City Council adjourned to a Closed Session to discuss the following matter: a) Labor Negotiations The City Council reconvened at approximately 9:36 a.m. There being no further business to come before the City Council, the Mayor adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:36 a.m. Attest: 1e i f e rerrin ty Clefk 2
