ROLL CALL Present: Council Members - Davenport, Mann, Pennino and Sieglock (Mayor) (left at approximately 9:53 p.m.) Absent: Council Members - Snider Present: Planning Commissioners - Griffith, Hitchcock, Lapenta, Marzolf, Schmidt (arrived at approximately 7:38 p.m.), Stafford and Rasmussen (Chairperson) Absent: Planning Commissioners - None : Also Present: City Manager Peterson, Assistant City Manager Glenn, Administrative Assistant to the City Manager Keeter, Community Development Director Schroeder, Senior Planner Morimoto, City Engineer Prima, City Attorney McNatt, Deputy City Attorney Luebberke and City Clerk Perrin 2. INTRODUCTIONS Mayor Sieglock asked that everyone in attendance introduce himself or herself to Michael Freedman. 3. PRESENTATION BY MICHAEL FREEDMAN WITH FREEDMAN. TUNG & BOTTOMLEY TO REVIEW CENTRAL CITY REVITALIZATION PROJECT UPDATE Mr. Michael Freedman made a presentation to the City Council regarding how the process has been up until this point for the Central City Revitalization Project and what to expect for the upcoming steps. Mr. Freedman further discussed some of his preliminary findings and recommendations for the downtown and Cherokee Lane area in a slide presentation. During Mr. Freedman's presentation, questions were asked by both the City Council and the Planning Commissioners, as well as staff members present in the audience. Mr. Freedman asked the City Council and the Planning Commission to approve a resolution of support for the construction of a public square on the Post Office parking lot to be sent to the Post Office headquarters. The City Council agreed it would place this matter on the agenda for the regular meeting of June 15, 1994. The Planning Commission will also schedule this matter for an upcoming meeting. Mr. Freedman and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager Keeter will draft language to be included on this resolution of support. 4. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the City Council and the Planning Commission, Mayor Pro Tempore Mann adjourned the meeting at approximately 10:26 p.m. ATTEST: �Mr City Clerk
