BACKGROUND INFORMATION: PROS Consulting is nearing the end of its work developing a Strategic Plan for the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department (PRCS). This work has included a community survey and analyses of staffing, park maintenance, park inventory and recreation programming. Mr. Neelay Bhatt, vice president of PROS Consulting, made two previous reports to the City Council and Recreation Commission regarding development of the Strategic Plan, such as the community survey and facility/program needs. The presentation at this joint meeting will build on those prior reports, as well as summaries of proposed funding and revenue strategies, and key recommendations that will comprise the vision and action steps of the Plan.
