As you know, a Lodi Campus for San Joaquin Delta College has been a Lodi City Council
priority for more than 10 years. We realize that an educated workforce is the key to
Lodi's economic future and see a local college presence as critical to making that
possible. A strategically located college campus would benefit from Lodi's exceptional
regional access, compact footprint and efficient transit system.
The Council is pleased to see Delta College's current efforts to move the North County
Education Center project forward and is committed to working with Delta College in its
efforts to locate a campus in Lodi.
Sincerely,
Bob Johnson, Mayor
