and Lodi Improvement Committee and Post for Vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Concur with the Mayor's recommended appointments to the Greater
Lodi Area Youth Commission (Student Appointees) and Lodi
Improvement Committee and further direct the City Clerk to post for
vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission (Adult Advisor).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On several occasions, the City Council directed the City Clerk to
post for vacancies on various boards and commissions. The Mayor
reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council concur with the
following appointments. Additionally, an Adult Advisor on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
submitted his resignation. Therefore, it is requested that Council direct the City Clerk to post for the
following vacancy.

One (1) Adult Advisor Vacancy
on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
The City of Lodi is currer►tly accepting applications from
individuals interested in serving as an adult advisor on the
Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, developed
to affect positive growth in young adults through a variety
of .activities that will generate interest and participation
within the community.
The Youth Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of
each month it 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room. st Hutchins
Street Square, and consists of 6 ad0 advis+ars, 1 City
Council representative, and 9 student members.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy for a one-year term to expire May 31, 2015.
Applications may be obtair*d from the City Clerk's
office at 221 W. Pine Street, 2nd floor. For more
information, call 333-6702, or access the City's Web
site at www.lodi.gov.
Appointments to the Commission will be made by the
Mayor with Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote in San Joaquin
County at the time of application. This is a volunteer,
unpaid position.
