A needs assessment was provided by Utility Director Dave Curry. A lengthy discussion followed with questions being directed to Staff. On motion of Council Member Snider, Olson second, Council approved the retaining of the consulting firm of R. W. Beck and Associates to analyze the Utility Department Ccnputer requirements at an estimated cost of $5,000.00. STEIN City Attorney That the City Council of the City of Lodi appropriate an amount not to exceed $1,000.00 for legal fees for a bonding attorney and consulting fees as. needed in the formation of the proposed downtown improvement district. UDID (United Downtown Improvement District) discussions have presently reached the point where it is imperative to have the expertise of a qualified bonding attorney and other consultants to provide important information required in the formation of the proposed downtown improvements. It is therefore requested that the Lodi City Council appropriate an amount not to exceed $1,000.00 for legal fees and consultant fees as needed in the formation of the proposed downtown improvement district.
