Specifications for the Salas Park Light Fixture Project
were presented for Council's approval. Council was
apprised that installation after the materials have been
received will be done primarily by the Boosters of Boys
Sports organization. Funds for this project will be
derived from the 1976 and 1980 Bond Fund Programs.
On motion of Councilman Pinkerton, Katnich second, Council
approved the specifications for
the Salas Park Light
Fixture Project and authorized
the City Clerk to advertise
for bids thereon.

SUBJECT-. LIGHT FIXTURES - SALAS PARK PROJECT (for Council Agenda December 2, 1981;
The Recreation and Parks Dept., with the help of the City_
Utilities Dept., respectfully submits specifications for
consideration for the purpose of purchasing light fixtures
for the Salas Park project.
;here are two sets of specifications, Alternatives 1 and 2,
and the purpose for this is to give everyone an opportunity
to bid, with the hope of getting the best possible consideration
as far as the City is concerned.
The estimate for this portion of the lighting equipment is
$47,000.00. This does not include poles, switch bores, wining,
transformers, etc. The total project for lighting this four -field
facility is estimated in the neighborhood of $80,000.00.

by the Boosters of Boys Sports organization with volunteer labor
for the most part. The utilities Department will be brought into
the picture for their help when necessary.
Funds for this project will be derived from the 1976 and 1980
Bond Fund programs. There is $228,000.00 available to the City
from these bond funds. The balance of the monies after the lights
have been secured and installed will be used for restrooms, paving,
and sundry other items.
