MID-SIZE PICK
UP TRUCK City Manager Glaves apprised the Council that only one
bid had been received for one mid-size pickup truck for
use by the Utility Department - Sanborn Chevrolet -
$9,050.71.
On recommendation of the City Manager, Council adopted
the following Resolution:

SUBJECT: Approve Specifications for Animal Control Mid -Size Pick-up
Truck Cab and Chassis
RECOMM'END'ED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for
the Anima.1 ContFolmid-size pick-up truck cab and chassis and authorize the
Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids to be received on Wednesday,
January 4, 1983.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This pick-up truck cab and chassis was approved in the
1982-83 perat ng N - -get as a repl-acement truck for the Animal Control
Department. This truck will replace a 1975 Chevrolet presently assigned to the
Animal Contraj Department.

OF MID-SIZE PICK-UP T1VX K CAB AMID CHASSIS
The City of Lodi invites sealed proposals for furnishing one mid-size cab and
chassis pick-up truck conforming to specifications on file in the office of
the Public marks Director, City Hall, Lodi, California, where copies of said
specifications may be inspected or obtained.
Sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Purchasing Agent at Lodi City Hall,
P.O. Boot 320 (221 W. Pine Street), Lodi, California 95241, on or before

11:00 A.M., Y, J+Pt 4t,,1983
and will be opened on the above day and hour in the office of the Purchasing
Agent, City Hall, Lodi, California.
The City of Lodi reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept
other than the lowest bid.
Reference is hereby made to said specifications for further details, which
specifications and this notice shall be considered part of any contract made
pursuant thereto.

On Tuesday, November 9, 198.29 bids were received and opened for one
mid-size pick-up truck for use by Utility Department engineering staff,
as replacement for an existing sedan.
It is recommended that the bid be awarded to the only bidder, Sanborn
Chevrolet, Lodi, in the amount of $9,050.71. The bid is within
acceptable limits for this type of vehicle.
Funding for this purchase is included in the 1982-83 Utility Outlay
Budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 82-134
AWARD - CONTRACT FOR ONE MID-SIZE PICKUP TRUCK
FOR USE BY THE UTILITY DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in
accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed
bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of
this City on November 10, 1982 at 11:00 a.m. for the Contract
for one Mid-size Pickup truck for use by the Utility
Department as described in the specifications therefor
approved by the City Council December 8, 1982..
WHEREAS, only one bid was received, said being as
follows:

Sanborn Chevrolet $9,0-50.71
WHEREAS, it has been determined that. the above bid is
a reasonable bid; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be
made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lodi that award of contract for one Mid-size
Pickup Truck be and the same is hereby made to Sanborn
Chevrolet, the only bidder, in the amount of $9,050.71.

and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in
an adjourned regular meeting held December 8, 1982 by
the following vote:
