Box 320 Lodi, California 95241 Dear Ms. Reimche: Thank you for contacting me regarding federal/state legal disputes arising from conflicting interpretations of Area of Origin water rights laws. Please excuse my delay in responding. It is my understanding that the case generating interest ln this issue, the SOPAR project claim to American River water,.has been settled out of court with the Bureau of Reclamation. Further, the Bureau informs me that it is not their int*nt-.to litigate any future similar cases but would instead prefer to - negotiate out of court settlements. If you feel this to be an unsatisfactory solution..10 what .,iw a complex problem of water rights law, please let me know. Again, I appreciate hearing from you. Sincerely, PETS WILSON
