HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - December 5, 1984 (55)PUC LETITR RE City Clerk Reimche presented a letter from the Public CV" SEPARATION Utilities Commission as follows: PIlO,T= "Gentlemen: Recent legislation has added Section 2460.7 to the Streets and Highways Code relating to grade separation projects. Section 2460.7 authorizes a local agency to construct a project on the priority list prior to the time that it reaches a high enough priority for funding. However, the following conditions must be applied to prioritization of grade separation projects on which construction has cammenced . 1. The project must have been nominated for the fiscal year during which construction commenced. 2. Time project must be renominated for the fiscal year during which funding consideration is desired. 3. Time nomination must include the same data as included in the nomination for the fiscal year during which construction co winced with the exception of construction cost data. 4. Cost data included in the nomination shall be: a) Final costs for completed projects. b) Currently anticipated final costs for projects still under construction. 5. Evidence must be provided that the project has received the prior approval of the California Transportation Commission. 13y copy of this letter, all public agencies planning to nominate grade separation projects under the provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 2460.7 for the fiscal year 1985-86 Grade Separation Priority List are hereby notified that such nominations shall be received by the Public Utilities Commission no later than 4:00 p.m, on January 14, 1985. With the exceptions noted above, nominations shall be in compliance with the requirements set forth in OII 84-10-011, dated October 3, 1984, which initiated the investigation for the purpose of establishing the 1985-86 Grade Separation Priority List.
