Holm, Finance Director DATE: October 31, 1984 SUBJECT: Reclassification of Enid Bosch Telephone Operator Receptionist to Account Clerk With the installation of the new telephone equipment in March 1934, which included the direct -in -dial features (DID), we knew that the Telephone Opera -tor Receptionist would have more time to assume additional duties. The additional duties we have assigned to her, which are of the Account Clerk level, are as follows: Collection and Cr'-,dit Section • Open and balance daily mail. • Keying cash ::nto computer via a computer terminal. • Collecting and balancing utility payments. • Handling customer inquires regarding utility payments. • Credit work with delinquent utility customers. Administration Section • Stores Inventory monthly reports. • Distribution of postage charges. • Inventory pricing from invoices. Aec,onn.t ingSect, ion< • Assist in check reconciliation of payroll and accounts payable bank statements. • Sorting and checking gas tags for distribution of charges to vehicle accounts.. Some of these duties were assigned as fax back as April 1984, when citizens became aware of the direct-ir,-diol telephone numbers, and as more time became available, we added add--itional duties. For example, the computer terminal was installed in June 1984. Mr. Glaves October 31, 1984 Page 2 Presently 91% of the monthly duties now performed by Mrs. Enid Bosch arc of the Account Clerk level. For your information, Mrs. Bosch was originally appointed from an account clerk list and through the years the title was changed and the pay became less than an account clerk. I feel that it is a-ppropriate that her title be changed to Account Clerk and respectfully request your approval to do so. Robert H. Holm. Finance Director
