BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Claude C. Wood Co-. of Lodi on April 4, 1984, in the amount of $631,076.76. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifi-cations approved by the City Council. Letters of intent for replacement of cherry trees when available this winter, and street paving corrections in the spring, have been submitted by the contractor. All of the items are covered by general warranty. The contract completion date was September 21, 1984, and the actual compieticon date is December 5, 1984. The fina-1 contract price is approximately $642,600. Some minor adjustments will be made upon corpletion of field measurements with the contractor's representatives. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is primarily due to the addition of the paving of Pine Street, School to S.P.R.R., purchase of the forms for construction of additional planters if necessary or desirable, installation of additional trees at City ?arking rots on Oak, Pine, and Walnut, and changes made necessary by field conditions. r Jac L.
