HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - November 19, 1986CITY COUNCIL MEETING NOVFMBM 19, 1986 SIDE N/LQCKEFORD Council accepted the improvements for "Cherokee Lane Improvements, West Side N/Lockeford" and directed the Public OC -14(a) Works Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's Office. Council was informed that the contract was awarded to Claude C. Wood Company of Lodi on September 18, 1985, in the amount of $67,379.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was May.27, 1986 and the actual completion date was June 2, 1986. The final contract price was $69,000.00 +/-. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to field modifications to the signal system that became apparent during construction. CITY OFLOD! Act SUBJECT: Accept Improvements - Cherokee Lane Improvements, West Side N/Lockeford RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements for "Cherokee Lane Improvements, West Side N/Lockeford" and direct the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Claude C. Wood Co. of Lodi on September 18, 1985, in the amount of $67,379.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was May 27, 1986, and the actual completion date was June 2, 1986. The contractor has been responsible for all maintenance since that date until November 11, 1986. The final contract price was $69,000.00±. The difference between tie contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to field molifications to the signal system that became apparent during construction. The exact final price is not available at this time because we are discussing with the Contractor the final cost of these same field modifications. ii� L.
