REAPPLICATION FOR
THIRD PHASE OF
POLICE C -CAP GRANT
APPROVED
RES. NO. 87-155 Council was advised that the Lodi Police Department will;
complete Phase II of the Career Criminal Apprehension
CC =I52 Program on December 31, 1987. The third phase of this
CC -175 program begins January 1, 1988 and will run through June of
1989.
During the recent budgetary process, the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning advised that the third phase of this
program would be for twelve months. The third phase has
now been extended back to eighteen months;..however, the
City match requirements remain the same.., The total City
match of $51,154 for Phase III. 1 The hard match.: funds
needed for F.Y. 87-88 have alreaay been approved- by the

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR THE THIRD PHASE C -CAP GRANT (RESOLUTION)
Lodi Police Department will complete Phase II of the Career Criminal Apprehensi
Program on December 31, 1987.
The third phage of this program begins January 1, 1988 and will run through June
of 1989.
During the recent budgetary process, the Office of Criminal Justice Planning advised
us that the third phase of this program would '-- 12 months. The third phase has
now been extended back to 18 months. Howe,. -r., the City match requirement remains
the same. The total City match is $51,154 for -Phase -3. " The hard match funds
needed for FY 87-88 have already been approved by Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 87-1-55
RESOLUTION TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST TO APPLY FOR
THIRD PHASE OF POLICE DEPARTMENT C -CAP GRANT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi desires to undertake a
certain project designated C -CAF, Phase III, Managing Criminal Investigations
to be funded in part from funds made available for the Program administered by
the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the City of
Lodi Police Department is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached
proposal to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City Council of
the City of Lodi the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or
amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the
program and the rules and regulations cf OCJP and that funds will be
appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this
Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the
responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of
California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
