Since that 1 meeting, tue document has been printed and subrnitted to the State Clearinghouse to start the public review period. To conform to FHWA and CEQA (State) requirements, a public hearing must be held. At the hearing, the Council will receive input on the project and determine if the environmental document is adequate. Per Federal requirements, a decision on the project must be deferred until a subsequent meeting and a transcript of the hearing must be prepared. On motion of Councilman Katnich, Murphy second, Council set the Public Hearing on the Stockton Street Improvement Project to January 6, 1982. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the. November 4, 1981, meeting, the City Council was notifleJ that the Federal Highway Administration has approved the en- vironmental report on the Stockton Street project. Since that meeting, the document has been printed and submitted to the State Clearinghouse to start the public review period. To conform to FHWA and CEQA (State) requirements, a public hearing must be held. The date requested provides the necessary public review time. At the hearing, the Council will receive input on he project and determine if the environmental document is adequate. Per Federal requirements, a decision on the project must be deferred until a subsequent meeting and a transcript of the hearing must be prepared. A copy of the Draft Environmental Impact Repo rt/Env I ronmenta I Assessment will be handed out at the meeting. A copy of the public notice is attached. r Jakk L. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON STOCKTON STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT KETTLEMAN LANE TO00 AVENUE TOLODI A Public Hearing on the Stockton Street Improvement Project will be held at the regular City Council meeting at 8:00 P.M., January 6, 1982, Lodi City Hall, 221 H. Pine Street. Anyone interested In the project is invited to attend. THE PROJECT INCLUDES: Reconstructing the pavement ' Widening the street ' Improving drainage ' Acquiring right-of-way IF YOU WISH ADOITIONAL INFOP14ATION: ° An Environmental Impact Report (Environmental Assessment) has been prepared. Copies are avail- able at tvie Lodi Public Library, 201 W. Locust St., and at City Hall. ' If you have specific questions about the project, contact Richard Prima, Associate Civil Engineer. at City Hall. COMMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED: In writing., to the Public 'storks Department, P.O.
