MARKII GS MSOUMON NO. 82-126 RES NO. 82-126 RESOLiJTION AWARDING TtM CONTRACT FOR LANE LINE PAINTING AMID REMtAL OF MISCELLANIDOUS MARKINGS TO TRAFFIC LIMITED, LODI, IN THE AMOW OF $15,939.14. r CITY OF LODI PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO: City Council FROM: City Manager DATE: November 11. 1982 COUNCIL COMMUNICATION SUBJECT: Award Lane Line Painting and Removal of Miscellaneous Markings RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the bid for Lane Li-ne Painting and Removal of Miscellaneous Markings to Traffic Limited, Lodi, Ca., in the amount of $15,939.14. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The specifications for "Lane Line Painting and Removal of Miscellaneous Mark ngs" were approved by the City Council on October 27 1982. Bids were opened on Wednesday, November 10, 1982,`and three bids were received. The cost of painting a mile of lane lines is approximately the same as the 1981 bid. The 1982-83 Operating Maintenance budget includes $13,350 for painting, of lane lines; however,. when the 1992-8-3 budget was formulated, we did not anticipate: removal of various pavement markings on Cherokee Lane. Removal of the exlsting lane lines, Vine Street south to Delores Street, and painting a federal left hand turning lane will provide safer turning movements to enter the business establishments within that block. A Special Allocation will be submitted to the City Manager In the amount of $2.600 upon approval of the bid. RESOLUTION NO. 82-126 AWARD - CONTRACT FOR LANE LINE PAINTING AND REMOVAL OF MISCELLANEOUS MARKINGS WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on November 10, 1982 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Lane Line Painting and Removal of Mi.sce.11aneous Markings as described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council October 27, 1982; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: BIDDER Traffic Ltd.
