RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the contract/for one 1 -ton
pickup truck to Sanborn Chevrolet in the amount of $12,014.b.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This pickup truck is a replacemerc vehicle for the Fire
Patrol Division of the Fire Department.
Specifications for this vehicle were approved on October 2, 1985•
The City has received the following 3 bids for this vehicle:

RESOLUTION NO. 85-150
AWARD - CONTRACT FOR ONE 1 -TON PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in
accordance with law and the order of this City Council,
sealed bids were received and publicly cpened by the City
Clerk of this City on October 23, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. for the
Contract for a one 1 -ton pickup truck for the Fire Department
as described in the specifications therefor approved by the
City Council October 2, 1985; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked and
tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as
follows:

Plummer GMC $12,806.92
Geweke Ford $13,944.66
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be
made to the low bidder, Sanborn Chevrolet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lodi that award of contract for a one 1 -ton
pickup truck for the Fire Department be and the same is
" hereby made to Sanborn Chevrolet, the low bidder, in the
amount of $12,014.50.

passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Lodi in a regular meeting held November 6, 1'85 by
the following vote:
