HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - November 4, 1981 (47)Q[e Lodi City Council Lad i City Hall Lodi; EA 95240 Honorable Members of the Lodi City Council: Inasmuch as the Central Lodi improvement Committee (CLIC) has virtually reached its objective of 60% signup of downtown property owners in favor of the proposed downtown assessment district, we would wish our City to join these property owners and CLIC in bringing the much needed and desired improvements into being. This entalls our City accepting the benefit assessment for those properties owned by the City, which are within the proposed assessment district area, in accord with the formula set forth by the consultants. The properties involved are: 111 West Elm St. permit parking lot 15,300 sq. ft. 171- -West Elm St. permit parking:,,,l:ot 23.,_800 sq. ft, 10. So.- Church St. parking lot 10,200 sq. ft . 120 West Pine St. parking lot 8,500 sq. ft. 30 So. Church St. pa=rking lot 13,600 sq. ft.. 114 West Oak St.. parking lot 13,504 sq. ft_ 117 West Walnut St. parking lot 10,890.sq. ft. 140 So. Church St. parking lot 5,663 sq. ft. 120 So. Church St. parking lot 31049 sq. ft. 219 So. School St. well site 1,742 sq. ft_ 107 So. Sacramento utility 100 sq. ft, Thetotalassessment on a "lump sum" basis is approximated to be $35,723.90•; The "annual payment" total, based on 15 years at 10% interest, is approximated to be $4,613.00 per year. `The premise upon which we make this request embodies the following positions: 1. Enchancement of property values within the district; 2. Enhancement of City revnues resulting from -anticipated increased. commercial revenues within the district; 3.
