S LODo CALFORNIA STAKE October 18, 1982 Honorable Fred Reid Mayor, City of Lodi 1168 No. Wood Drive Lodi, California, 95240 Re: Proclamation of "FAMILY WEEK" For the City of Lodi Dear Mayor Reid: Traditionally each year the President of the United States proclaims "National Family Week' during the last week of November. In conjunction with this expected proclamation from President Reagan, we would like to request that the City Council proclaim November 21st through 27th as "Family Week" for the City of Lodi. As a highlight of a national and local "Family Week," the Lodi Words of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints araagain sponsoring an annual *Familyof the Year" contest, open to families from Lodi, Galt, Thornton. 9* -Md,, and keford area. This contest is aimed at mcognizing and honoring outstanding families for their talents and contributions to our communities. Norainatlons are now being sought from organisations, as well as from the pubic at large. Final selection c,f the "Family of the Year for 1982" witi be made at a special presentation ceremony on Friday. November 26th, 1982, at 7:00 p.m. at the LDS Church building at 721 North Home Lane, Lodi. We would be honored to have you and members of the council atend this special program.
