APPRCVED Council approved the request of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Lodi Post 1948 to tie red ribbons on all trees on
CC -39 School Street between Lodi Avc-rue and Lockeford Street the
week of November 9, 1987 to call attention to those missing
in action and P.O.W.'s from World War 1I, the Korean War
and Viet Nam.

ON ALL TREES ON SCHOOL STREET BETWEEN LODI AVENUE AND LOCKEFORD STREET THE WE'.EK
OF NOVEMBER 9, 1987 TO CALL ATTENTION TO THOSE MISSING IN ANION AND P.O.W.'S
FROM WORLD WAR II, THE KOREAN WAR AND VIET NAM
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, allow the Veterans of
Foreign Wars, Lodi Post 1948, to tie red ribbons on all
trees on School Street between Lodi Avenue and Lockeford
Street, Lodi, during the week of November 9, 1987 to call
attention to those missing action and P.O.W.'s from World
War IIs the Korean War and Viet Nam.
Mr. Leland Fortner, representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lodi Post 1948,
has requested that the City Council take action to call attention to those
missir•g in action and P.O.W.'s From, 'World War ii, the Korean War and Viet Naifi.
As in 1986, specifically the request was to tie red ribbons on all trees on
School Street between Lodi Avenue and Lockeford Street. It was requested that
the ribbons remain in place during the week of November 9, 1987.
The City encountered no problems last year, and it is recommended that Council,
by motion action, grant this request.
